It is counterintuitive, but apple cider vinegar helps if you oversalt a dish.
Counterintuitive because vinegar is recommended as salt replacement for low sodium diet.
Not sure why it works, but it works 100%.

I can understand how salads as a cultural phenomenon are/ were rooted in diet culture but sometimes a salad truly does hit the spot. Fresh tomatoes, some kind of cheese ( feta or mozzarella preferably) a fish or meat, olive oil, leafy greens, balsamic vinegar or a fresh lemon
