Wondering if anyone knows who clearly up a copyright/trademark issue I ran into. Some of DC’s heroes have their earliest comics in the public domain. But I have no idea what the ruling on those characters would be due to trademark law. Does anybody know a good IP lawyer?

Digital versions of western comics seem wayy more effective for me personally. They're cheaper, and on subscription services. I've read 13 trades this year so far digitally. And they look great! That's probably where the future for them is, which is fine!

But yes, if you're looking for an easy entry to comics, American manga publishing is light years ahead of superhero comics. I just suggest picking up vol. 1 of TRANSMETROPOLITAN or something from that tiny non-manga section nearby, you might like it for the same reasons
