1) Gather as much genealogy information as you can possibly find, I mean all of it. If you want to claim your Indigenous identity you need to know where it comes from, you can't just start reconnecting without even knowing the names of your ancestral line.

2nd - there is a difference between LE DNA analysis method and familial DNA analysis. So the science *is* different. Something about SNIPS in genealogy but some other method in LE labs.

I think people are too afraid of change with the Genealogy remake. I love fe4, so I'd be happy if they change nothing, but the reality is the original is going to be there no matter what. I think it's fine if they make some changes, even big ones as long as they have some merit.
